UMusic Hotel Madrid is a project where music is not merely an aesthetic inspiration, but the conceptual axis that shapes the entire experience of the building. The hotel is designed as a creative ecosystem where hospitality, culture and live entertainment coexist within a single space.
Every element of the interior design responds to this narrative: from the materials and textures that evoke the city’s musical heritage to the spatial layout, conceived to foster encounters between artists, audiences and travelers. Guest rooms, communal areas and cultural spaces interact with one another to create an immersive atmosphere in which the guest becomes an active part of the musical experience.The project goes beyond the traditional idea of a themed hotel, as it is not limited to decorative storytelling. Music becomes an architectural and experiential language capable of transforming the stay into a sensory journey that connects with Madrid’s cultural identity.

AD2675. Urban Hotel Design & Façade
UMusic Hotel Madrid is located in the historic Teatro Albéniz, an emblematic building in the heart of Madrid whose façade is a distinctive element of the city’s architectural and cultural landscape. One of its most remarkable features is the sculptural composition that represents the different Autonomous Communities of Spain, symbolizing the country’s cultural diversity and unity. The architectural intervention preserves and enhances these sculptural elements, allowing the building to maintain its identity and strong connection to Madrid’s cultural heritage. By carefully restoring the façade and incorporating it into a contemporary hospitality project, UMusic Hotel Madrid establishes a dialogue between past and present. The building not only retains its historic character but also gains a new role as a vibrant cultural destination in the city. Through the preservation of the Teatro Albéniz façade and its iconic representations of Spain’s regions, the project highlights the importance of architectural heritage while contributing to the ongoing cultural life of Madrid’s urban fabric.
